Since my early childhood I have had a keen interest in the outdoors. My professional career as a naturalist and director of a nature center for over 35 years, allowed me to share my enthusiasm and passion for nature and wild things with others. My interest in photography developed as a way to share with others the beauty and magic of nature that I experience when in the field and hopefully help them better understand man’s interconnectedness to our natural world. I reside in northwest Wisconsin where the rivers, woods, wetlands and lakes provide subject matter for much of my photography. For the past 20-25 years now I have annually traveled west to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks to photograph, kayak and fly fish. Since retiring I've had more time to travel in pursuit of images, taking frequent trips to Africa, Alaska, Canada and many of our great natural sites in the lower forty eight.
